De vuelta al trabajo / Back to work

It has already been a week of preseason in Las Palmas with the national team and we haven’t wasted any time. We started working hard from day one and the truth is it hasn’t been very difficult because everyone in this group is committed. We have very high hope for this World championships and we want to be ready. Personally, I’ve had a long vacations and had time for everything, so I’m happy to be on the court again and being part of this group one more summer. There is gossip about my future and everyone asks me but I’m really just focused on the national team right now.

I will let you know how the preparation goes punctually

See you soon!
Rudy

I'm glad to hear things are going well with the national team. I'm in Portland so I have been hearing rumors as well. I hope to see you suit up in a Blazers uniform next season and if you move on to another team I wish you success there as well.

Rudy! 3 weeks ago there were a lot of rumours of you thinking to come to Europe. I hope you still talk with my team, Panathinaikos and come to us.
We need you Rudy ! We need you so that we can continue building our legacy, the legacy of the most succesfull european team of the last twenty years! Dominic Wilkins, Dino Radja, Dejan Bodiroga, Rebraja, Dimitris Diamantidis, Siskauskas, Sarunas Jacikevicius and now it's your turn Rudy!
Good luck with your National team as well, stay healthy dude!

Don't listen to George, Rudy. He knows not of what he speaks, hahaha. Truth is, Nate probably isn't the best fit for you, most in Portland know that. But you've still got a bright future in the NBA ahead of you. If you go back to Europe I think everybody, at least in the States, will interpret that as "giving up." You're too good for that, dude.

hahaha, it's not giving up it's making a better career choise i think.
Some athletes set targets, goals they wont to become champions.. in the NBA you cant be a champion unless mr.commissioner wants it. You are obliged playing too many games in a week, so you lose focus in what your primarly love.. the game, no time for trainning, no time for strategy etc, you are always in an airport, you become a luggage with feet.. the only time when the things got real are in the play offs but only a few teams pass that stage. The rest of the time is a waste of time.
If Rudy was to join Heat, Boston, Lakers, Spurs, Dallas in other words a team that would convincingly try to become champions then i wouldnt mind of him staying in the NBA even with less money.
And i dont think Rudy needs or should stay more in the NBA for the simple reason that he doesnt have to prove anything to anyone anymore. He stayed two years and was honest with his performance...others werent that honest towards him.
In the end of your carreer when you are an athlete you want to look at your shelves and look at trophies, so that they remind you of the critical part you played in achieving these trophies and in Europe and in Panathinaikos he will do that. In the NBA they wont offer him this shot although he deserves it 101%
if they give him this shot, then of course he should stay. no question about that.

Rudy, you are one of the best spanish players, thus one of the best men in the group of world champions. Portland is not treating you as you deserve. The least you should expect from and NBA team would be being the 6th man but not any further in the bench.

If Portland doesnt deserve you, move to another team that does!

Te queremos desde España!

Rudy. Come to the Boston Celtics!! Sports fans across the city are already buzzing and excited about the possibility of you coming. You will most certainly be the 6th man, and very soon the starting 2 guard if you agree to play for the Celtics.

Many of us in Boston, and the rest of the East coast have watched you show your skills in Portland, and we are VERY impressed. You are an electrifying player, and you will fit in very well in Boston. It was apparent that you were not used correctly on the Trailblazers...coming to the Celtics can fix that immediately!

Everyone is already picturing you hitting transition 3's and Rajon Rondo-assisted alley-oops. Our team needs a young, athletic and popular player to do his thing next to Rondo, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce and KG. You can be that man! Seriously, 6th man of the year!!...and in a year or two, starting 2 guard for the greatest basketball team in the United States, the Boston Celtics!!

Make it happen Rudy! I'm a HUGE fan of yours. If you do well in Boston, you will be beloved. This city is obsessed with it's sports, its teams, and it's favorite players (especially talented new ones).

Whatever decision you make, I hope you enjoy your time on the court! On behalf of Boston, WE hope you decide to become a star on the Celtics!

Hola Rudy!

Rudy you see what i am saying ? These people (and i dont mean the Fans) , dont appreciate your talent, they dont deserve you.
Celtics (whom i support in the NBA) decided to get Von Wafer instead of you, which is rediculous if you consider that Wafer came in Europe and played one month in loseriakos B.C and left as a failure. The guy cant do half of the jobs you can do in the court.
Rudy you should come to Panathinaikos, we have already build a solid team that will go after 2011's Euroleague. Aleks Maric, Mike Batiste, Ian, Tsartsaris, Fwtsis, Kaimakoglou, Romain Sato, Perperoglou, Drew Nikolas, Milenco Tepic and Diamantidis with Coach Obradovic at the bench. We are the team that believed in your talent long before anyone did. Your future is with us and believe me, it looks brighter than you have imagined.
Rudy we are waiting for you, please dont dissapoint us!

Good Luck in the FIBA! I hope you stay in Portland next year dispite all the trade talks. I feel like your connection with the team, some of that "feel good" chemistry, was lost when Sergio was traded. Maybe you lost the confidence that comes with having someone near who knows your abilities and past expriences. I think that after spending time at home this summer you will feel good and be ready to come back to Portland and have the best NBA year yet. It would be sweet to have that happened as part of the Blazers. You are a really great player - excellent court sense and vision. speed, and amazing shooting skill . Step up and make the connection with new players, new coaches, the new GM and make a commitment to this team. It is always easy to leave - harder, but ultimately rewarding, to stick with a less than ideal situation and turn it to your advantage. You can be a huge part of the success of the team. This year is your year.. I just feel it. Anyway, enought of all that... best of luck to you! I am a fan! I hope you come back as a Blazer next year.

Rudy! The only teams that will go after the championship are Lakers, Boston, Heat, Dallas, Spurs, Bulls and Magic. If you dont join one of these teams there is no reason to stay in the NBA, stay for what ?
Knicks will go after nothing and Blazers owners and coaches will do the same thing all over again with you....They promise things and dont make them happen.
Rudy, in the NBA they dont want you to be their lead violin they want you to come from the bench as 7th or 8th solution which is boll*cks! You dont deserve this dude!
Come to Panathinaikos and let your Star sign as bright as it has ever been!
You need trophies to decorate your house in Majorca dude!

thats why i rather see u play in other teams. blazers are never gonna let a hispanic or other nationality be better than whites and blacks. we are minority to them and they get mad and jelouse to see a spanish speaking person succed. so rudy i wish u the best were ever u go.

Telling Rudy to leave and go to Eruo league is the same as telling a kid with IQ of 160+ to leave MIT and go to school at ITT tech so he can be the smartest kid in his school. The talent pool is WAY too shallow to EVER be considered being on of the worlds greatest players even if you domonate the league.

They are getting better but still it is not near the same level of play as the NBA. I mean come on they had to change the international rules of basketball (A game invented in America and no longer played by American rules on an international level) just to keep the US from sweeping every international event. Seriously WTF is that... would be like if the US decided that we would be better in soccer without Offsides and lobbied untill the rule was abolished.
