CAMPUS RUDY: El mejor momento de mis vacaciones / RUDY CAMP: The best time of my vacations
Ayer presentamos el Campus Rudy 2010 en Playa de Muro, Mallorca. Como he dicho muchas veces, mi campus, que este año haermos en Pollença, es uno de mis momentos preferidos del año. Es una buena oportunidad para pasar tiempo en mi tierra y, sobretodo, para estar en contacto con los chicos y chicas. Recuerdo cuando era pequeño e iba a algún campus y nos visitaba algún jugador. Era una gran ilusión poder compartir unas horas con alguien a quién admirabas. Ahora tengo la oportunidad de hacer feliz a muchos jóvenes y es algo que me apasiona. No miento si digo que es mi momento preferido de mis vacaciones. Durante el campus (toda la información aquí: www.campusrudyfernandez.com) intento estar el máximo de tiempo posible con los chicos y chicas y lo pasamos realmente bien. Este año, además, mi hermana Marta es la directora o sea que es un motivo más para que tenga ganas de que empiece ya.
En la rueda de prensa se me preguntó por la temporada. Como he dicho otras veces, la segunda temporada ha sido irregular, por las lesiones y a veces por la falta de confianza. Pero cada año para mi es positivo. He madurado mucho como jugador y como persona, con sólo 25 años puedo decir que he vivido muchas cosas. Si que es cierto que me esperaba una temporada diferente, con un rol más importante, pero por las lesiones ha sido difícil. Pero siempre se puede sacar algo positivo y espero, el año que viene, dar un salto hacia adelante. Me gustaría dar las gracias a todos los asistentes a la presentación y especialmente a todos los sponsors que hacen posible el campus, así como al Govern Balear y al Ayuntamiento de Pollença.Hasta pronto!Yesterday we introduced the Rudy Basketball Camp 2010 in Playa de Muro, Mallorca. Like I’ve said before, my camp, which will be held in Pollença, is one of my favorite moments of the year. It’s a good opportunity to spend time in my hometown and, specially, to be in touch with the boys and girls. I remember when I was a kid and went to camps that sometime a pro player came to visit. It was a huge deal and made me happy to spend some time with him. Now I have the chance to make some kids happy and it’s something that I love. I wouldn’t lie If I said that it’s my favorite time during my vacations. During the camp (all the info here: www.campusrudyfernandez.com) I try to spend as much time as possible with the kids and we really have fun. This year my sister Marta will be the camp director so that’s another good reason for me to want to start the camp right away! In the press conference I got asked about the season. Like I said before, my second season in the NBA has been irregular, because of injuries and sometimes lack of confidence. But every year is positive for me. I have matured as a player and as a person, and at only 25 years old I can say I have lived many things. It is true that I expected a different season, with a more important role, but it has been difficult with all the injuries. But you always have to get something positive out of everything and I hope, next year, to take a step ahead.
